One thing I’ve learned over the years is that some of the best hires come from referrals from current employees. It makes sense when you think about it. Good people tend to know other good people. And if one of your best employees says, “Hey, I know someone who would be great here,” that recommendation carries a lot more weight than Resume Number 847 sitting in an inbox.
Employee referrals can also save you from the usual hiring circus: posting a gazillion job ads, sorting through what feels like a small country’s worth of resumes, narrowing those down to a hundred decent candidates, doing phone interviews, picking the top three or four, bringing them into the office, asking them every interview question known to mankind, then doing background checks, criminal checks, personality assessments, reference calls, and probably consulting a crystal ball somewhere along the way. So yes, we love employee referrals. And that’s how Lupita came to us.
One of our professional home cleaners referred Lupita. The two grew up together and she thought Lupita would be a great fit for Dallas Maids. And really, who better to know the kind of boss they’d want to report to than an employee herself? If someone on your team says, “I’d happily work for this person,” that’s a pretty strong endorsement.
Lupita came in to meet with Angela and. needless to say, the interview went very well. The more they talked, the more it became clear that Lupita checked a lot of the boxes we were looking for… industry experience ✔️, leadership ✔️, good people skills ✔️, and the kind of attitude that fits well with our team ✔️. By the end of the conversation, Angela was feeling pretty good that we had found someone special.
So we’re very happy to officially welcome Lupita to the Dallas Maids management team! She has already proven to be an amazing addition to the office and a huge help to Angela. We’re thrilled grateful to have her with us. Now, let me introduce you to Lupita.
Lupita’s strong work ethic was shaped early by the values her family instilled in her. Over the years, she has built solid experience in customer service, leadership, and team management. Her cleaning-industry experience includes managing teams with ABM Enterprises and serving in a supervisory role at Omni Hotels, where she gained hands-on experience with cleaning operations, quality standards, employee supervision, and customer service.
As a Manager at Dallas Maids, Lupita brings creativity, strong listening skills, leadership experience, and a solid professional foundation to the team. She is committed to supporting our cleaners, taking great care of our customers, and helping create a positive experience for everyone who works with Dallas Maids.
And judging by the start she’s already had, we think our employee referral system scored another good one.
