How to Sort Out Bonuses Based On Performance

Each employee starts off with a set bonus of $10.00.

If a team gets a regular job for weekly that is 2 points or $10.00 (each point is $5.00); if biweekly then 1 point or $5.00.

Customer compliments range in from 1 to 2 points. Most will be one point. If the compliment is exemplary, then the employee receives 2 points. For example: “this is the best cleaning we ever have had!” would be 2 points.

If they have a customer cancelation due to bad service the entire bonus is removed.

Customer complaints we remove points depending on the severity of the complaint removing -1 to -5 points.

We also remove pts if we they are not following procedure (for example: not wearing uniform, arriving late, does not follow directions out in field, not turning in daily routes/key/payments etc).

Christmas Bonus

Employees receive $25 for each full quarter they have been employed up to $400.00. After $400, employees earn $25 for each year worked.

For example, is an employee has worked at Dallas Maids for 2 full years, then their bonus would be $200.00 ($25x8quarters).

If the employee has worked for 5 full years, then their bonus would be $425.00 (($25×16 quarters)+($25×1 year)).

Profit Sharing

Profit sharing is available for key employees. An employee earns profit sharing after each full quarter they have been employed.

Profit sharing is calculated by a percentage of total profits, paid out at the end of the quarter.

Vacation

We require staff to submit Vacation Days at least 30 days in advance. Absences are automatically deducted from vacation days.

Office Staff

  • Only one staff member can take vacation at a time in order to avoid being short staffed in the office.
  • Two (2) weeks paid vacation per year (10 days) after 6 months of employment.
  • Three (3) weeks paid vacation per year (15 days) after 5 years of employment.
  • Four (4) weeks paid vacation per year (20 days) after 10 years of employment.
  • Vacation days may be restricted to non-busy times of the year. Days around busy periods may be excluded such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc.
  • The employee may use the day as they please such as vacation, illness, and doctor’s appointments.

Team Members

  • Must have been employed by Dallas Maids for one full year.
  • Vacation days start accruing on January 1st after one full year of employment.
  • One additional day of vacation is accrued every year thereafter.
  • All days are replenished on January 1st of each year.
  • Amount to be paid for each day of vacation is employee’s percentage multiplied by 2. Therefore, an employee making 34% will have $68.00 per day of paid vacation (34 x 2 = 68).
  • Vacation days are restricted to non-busy times of the year. Days around busy periods are excluded such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc.
  • The employee may use the day as they please such as vacation, illness, and doctor’s appointments.

For example, we’ll use an example of an employee, who started in October, 2008. One full year of employment would have been October 2009. The next January 1st was 2010. Therefore, she has 2010, 2011, and 2012 for 3 days of paid vacation. On January 1st, 2013, she’ll start with 4 days.
