Hello Team,
I want to send a proper (and slightly overdue!) welcome to Angela. Many of you have already met her, but I want everyone to know a little more about how she joined Dallas Maids and why I am so excited she is here.
Angela has 14 years of experience with The Maids. That kind of experience is rare. When we started searching for a new Operations Manager, Val was posting on Indeed, Facebook, and the usual places. But I decided to go a step further.
I asked one of our staff members to put together a list of the highest-rated cleaning companies in Dallas. I wanted to talk directly to the best. If we were going to bring someone into our team, I wanted it to be someone from a company known for strong systems and high standards.
So I started calling.
I spoke with many companies. I took notes. I ranked conversations. I listened carefully. I read their online reviews. Then I called The Maids, and Angela answered.
Within the first minute, I could tell she was different. She was confident, clear, professional, and friendly. She was also honest. She soon asked why I was calling from Dallas Maids. She had noticed the caller ID. That told me something important: she pays attention.
We had a great conversation. Out of everyone I spoke with, she was clearly the best.
I didn’t expect her to consider leaving after so many years at her company. But when I called back, to my surprise (and happiness), she was open to talking more.
We met at Starbucks for an interview, and it confirmed everything I already felt. She gave thoughtful answers. She understands operations. She understands people. And most importantly, she understands respect.
We found someone special.
Angela and I share the same philosophy:

Angela is here to support you. She is here to help you succeed. She will treat you with fairness and respect.

Quiero dar una bienvenida formal (¡y un poco atrasada!) a Angela Johnston. Muchas de ustedes ya la han conocido, pero quiero que todas sepan un poco más sobre cómo se unió a Dallas Maids y por qué estoy tan emocionado de que esté aquí.
Angela tiene 14 años de experiencia con The Maids. Ese tipo de experiencia es poco común. Cuando comenzamos a buscar una nueva Gerente de Operaciones, Val estaba publicando en Indeed, Facebook y en los lugares habituales. Pero yo decidí ir un paso más allá.
Le pedí a una de nuestras empleadas que hiciera una lista de las compañías de limpieza mejor calificadas en Dallas. Quería hablar directamente con las mejores. Si íbamos a traer a alguien a nuestro equipo, quería que fuera de una empresa conocida por tener sistemas sólidos y altos estándares.
Así que empecé a llamar.
Hablé con muchas compañías. Tomé notas. Clasifiqué las conversaciones. Escuché con atención. Leí sus reseñas en línea. Luego llamé a The Maids, y Angela contestó.
Desde el primer minuto, pude notar que era diferente. Era segura, clara, profesional y amable. También fue honesta. Pronto me preguntó por qué estaba llamando desde Dallas Maids. Había notado el identificador de llamadas. Eso me dijo algo importante: ella presta atención.
Tuvimos una excelente conversación. De todas las personas con las que hablé, ella fue claramente la mejor.
No esperaba que considerara irse después de tantos años en su empresa. Pero cuando volví a llamar, para mi sorpresa (y felicidad), estuvo dispuesta a seguir conversando.
Nos reunimos en Starbucks para una entrevista, y eso confirmó todo lo que ya sentía. Dio respuestas reflexivas. Entiende las operaciones. Entiende a las personas. Y lo más importante, entiende el respeto.
